As our community grows, so has the demand for events — and our small team of organizers can’t do it all. Local chapters empower trusted members to host meetups in their own cities, keeping the spirit of Ryan Meetup alive while avoiding burnout.

Not at all — this is an added layer, not a replacement. Local chapters are meant to ease the load on our core team and make it possible for more events to happen, more often. The big gatherings will still be part of the Ryan Meetup experience.

Nope! We aim to keep events free or low-cost whenever possible. If there are venue or material costs, chapters may request small contributions from attendees.

Not just yet. We’re currently piloting this new program with a handful of trusted Ryans to help us shape how local chapters work. Once we’ve refined the process, we plan to open up applications so anyone around the world can bring Ryan Meetup to their city.
